Three generations of service
I worked with Artie at the Moody St. fire station and thought the world of him. I was the rookie on Engine 1 and he was one of the veteran firefighters. He took me under his wing and taught me the ropes. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Bob Keane

Obituary for Arthur F. Bryant

Northborough/ Waltham/ Needham- Arthur F. Bryant, 89, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Blaire House of Worcester.

Arthur is predeceased by his wife Katherine L. (Kelley) Bryant, who died in 1992. He leaves behind his 4 daughters, Gail Peterson and her husband Don of E. Falmouth, Susan Lemish and her husband Michael of Westborough, Jill Hayward and her husband Joe of Marlborough, Roberta Bryant of Milford; 4 grandchildren, Kelley and Alison Hayward, Ryan Lemish, and Robby Nolan. Arthur was born and raised in Needham, son of the late Clifford H. and Mary L. (Garballey) Bryant. He was a firefighter for the city of Waltham, retiring in 1977. Mr. Bryant enjoyed landscaping and gardening. Arthur proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

A calling hour will be held Saturday, January 19th from 10-11:00 a.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. (Rte. 20), Northborough A funeral service will follow at 11:00. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Upton. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to: Blaire House of Worcester Activity Fund, 116 Houghton St., Worcester, MA 01604.
