  Aunt Gin will be missed, such a sweet lady....everytime I saw her she always commented on my kids and how grown up they kept getting. Such a caring loving soul. RIP Aunt Gin Love, Trisha

Obituary for Virginia A. Wheeler

Berlin
Virginia A. (Mungeam) Wheeler died peacefully on January 18, 2013 in Marlboro Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Her husband of 35 years, Clifford “Herb” Wheeler Jr. died in 1984. She leaves her three children, Donna Wheeler of Fitchburg; Dennis Wheeler and his wife Michelle of Knoxville, TN and Debra Towle and her husband William of Berlin; five grandchildren, Tara Caramanica, Bill Towle, Denielle Graybeal, Valerie Pilcher and Melanie Falin; seven great- grandchildren; three brothers, Lee Mungeam of Berlin; Lawrence “Bud” Mungeam of Marlboro and Alan Mungeam of Hudson; nieces & nephews. Ginny is predeceased by her companion of 11 years, Neale Laurence and her sister Gretta Norton. Born in Clinton, daughter of the late Leonard and Ruth (Brewer) Mungeam, she was a lifelong resident of Berlin. Mrs. Wheeler graduated from Hudson High School in 1948. Her memberships include: a lifelong member of First Parish Church of Berlin, Berlin Grange and Berlin Worcester County Extension Group. Ginny enjoyed country line dancing and photography. She also enjoyed multiple cross-country trips in Neale’s Cady. Mrs. Wheeler was an avid gardener. She volunteered her time in the community by serving lunches to Berlin senior citizens.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northboro. Ginny’s funeral will be held Wednesday the 23rd at 10 a.m. in First Parish Church, 24 Central St. Berlin. The Rev. Oscar Wallace will officiate. Burial will follow in South Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to First Parish Church or The Arc of Opportunity of North Central Mass., 564 Main St. Fitchburg, MA 01420.
