Northborough - Douglas P. Hart, lovingly nicknamed Moody, 49, passed away December 20, 2016 at UMASS Hospital following a long illness. He was born in Marlborough and was a lifelong resident of Northborough and attended Northborough Schools. He is survived by his sister Jeanne Malecki and her husband Les of Hudson; his brother, Raymond W. Hart Jr. of Northborough; brother David Hart and his wife Mary of Vermont; sister Dolores Sullivan and her husband Joseph of Northborough; brother Dennis Hart and Thom Smyth of Upton; sister Donna Hart of Northborough; brother Jeffrey Hart of Hudson; sister Dorothy Ahlman and her husband Art of Hampton, NH; and brother Daniel Hart and Kim Foster of Maine. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother, Evelyn L. Blanchard Hart, and his father Raymond W. Hart Sr. and a brother Donald J. Hart who died in 1982. Doug worked at Crockett's Landscaping in Northborough for over 20 years. Doug enjoyed the outdoors and his annual trips to Hampton Beach with friends. He also enjoyed trips to Maine and Vermont where he would spend time with his siblings. He was an avid Patriots fan. Doug loved cooking and could often be found in front of a grille. Family and friends are invited to join us for a celebration of Doug's life on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 12:00 p .m. at the American Legion Post 234 located at 402 W. Main Street in Northborough. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
