Joseph Alfredo DiBello passed away on Thursday December 21st 2017 after a long Illness. He was born in East Boston on September 23, 1932 to Joseph and Josephine DiBello. He was the 3rd of 6 children and spent his childhood years in Somerville, MA. After graduating from high school Joe joined the Air Force at 18, proudly serving his country while stationed in the UK during the Korean conflict.
After returning home from serving his country Joe began working at Hewlett Packard in the Shipping Department. He also began taking night courses at Northeastern University where he ultimately received a BS degree in 1975. He met his wife Trudy in 1962 and they wed in 1964. They settled in Southborough MA in 1975 where they raised 4 children. Joe went to work for Raytheon as a shipping supervisor until retiring to Hilton Head South Carolina in 1996. Joe’s hobbies included playing the xylophone and guitar in a dance band, photography, baking desserts, poker and reading.
Joe leaves behind his devoted wife of 53 years Trudy M. (Yannario) DiBello of Grafton, MA, daughter Jacqueline DiBello of Aspen Co, son Martin DiBello of North Grafton, MA, daughter Marcia DiBello of Southborough, MA. His son Christopher DiBello of Bolton, MA predeceased him in 2016. He also leaves behind four grandchildren Alex (16), Lilly (16), Marcus (13) and Sam (10). He has one surviving brother, John DiBello of Revere MA.
There will be a funeral Mass celebrated on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at 11AM in St. Anne's Church, 20 Boston Rd, Southborough, MA.
