Obituary

NORTHBOROUGH

Mrs. Catherine Elizabeth Lemerise, age 92, of Northborough, passed away early Thursday morning, August 1, 2019, at Saint Vincent’s Hospital with her daughter Judie by her side. Catherine was born November 26, 1926, a daughter of the late John and Helen O’Neill. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Joseph Lemerise.

Catherine leaves one daughter, Judie Lemerise Moloney of Northborough and three sons. Catherine leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Catherine had a very special place in her heart for her grandsons, Brian and Joseph Lemerise, and her granddaughters, Meghan Coupland, Heather Lemerise, and Beckie Mackowiak. Catherine is also survived by her grandson-in-law, Nicholas Mackowiak who never failed to make her laugh. Catherine always referred to her grandson Trenton as her beautiful Angel. Catherine was always so very grateful for Judie, Brian, and Beckie being her biggest supporters and advocates. Catherine also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Catherine was a loyal member of Saint Rose of Lima Parish in her younger years and was a wonderful homemaker. She could always be found taking long, leisurely walks around the town of Northborough, gardening in her yard, or spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at The Lutheran Home of Worcester for their diligent and compassionate care of Catherine.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10a.m. on Monday, August 5th, at Saint Rose of Lima Parish, 244 W. Main Street, Northborough with a reception and time for fellowship immediately following. Catherine’s loving and devoted family will serve as pallbearers. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers please send donations in Catherine’s name to the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation, 747 Third Avenue, 33rd Floor, New York, NY 10017 (info@bbrfoundation.org). Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough is assisting Catherine’s family with arrangements. To leave a condolence or to share a story, please visit www.HaysFuneralHome.com.
