At the age of 94, on Friday, April 17, 2020, Theresa Nonnemacher passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Northborough, MA with her family at her side. She is survived by her daughter Sheree Morris, Son-in-Law Richard Morris and Granddaughter Sarah Morris of Brooklyn, New York. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Nonnemacher, in 1991.
Born on November 16,1925, in New Brunswick, Canada on a potato farm, Teri was the 7th of 13 children. Leaving home at a young age to live with an Aunt in Maine, she eventually made her way to Philadelphia, PA. where she met Arlie Hopkins. They married in 1946 and had 1 daughter, Sheree in 1956.
Always well dressed and put together, Teri loved fashion and spent many years working for B Altman’s in St Davids, PA. as a personal shopper, traveling to New York City to select clothing for her clients and department. One of Sheree’s favorite memories as a teenager was skipping school and traveling into New York City with her mom where they spent the day on 5th Avenue.
After retiring, and being passionate about golf, Teri moved to Tampa, Florida where she lived for 16 years playing golf and going to the YMCA to exercise every day. In 2008, Teri moved to Clinton, MA. to live close to her daughter and her family. Teri led a very active lifestyle, golfing, Silver Sneakers classes at the YMCA and bowling at AMF senior league in Shrewsbury.
At Teri's request, all services are private. Arrangements are in care of Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough.
