Framingham – Avis J. (Kessler) Worswick, 88, passed away peacefully at home on July 12, 2013. Her husband Thomas Worswick died in 1997. She leaves 3 daughters, Priscilla Worswick of Nantucket, Martha Villani and her husband Joseph Myette of Worcester and Cheryl Kane and her husband William of Southborough. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces and a nephew. Born in Boston and raised in Brookline, Avis lived in Framingham for more than 50 years. She enjoyed knitting and traveling. Mrs. Worswick was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. A private graveside service will be held in Rural Cemetery, Southborough. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Avis' name may be made to American Red Cross of Central MA, 2000 Century Dr. Worcester, MA 01606.
