Obituary

Northborough- Barbara A. (Kingsbury) Audet, 81, died Thursday, June 28 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester. She leaves a son Paul Audet and his wife Heather, of Windham, NH, 3 daughters; Suzanne Schultz and Neil Parsons, of Boston, Nancy vanBeekom and her husband Randy, of Shrewsbury and Leslie Jorgensen and her husband Morten, of Hamilton; 7 grandchildren, Zachary and his wife Lauren Tracie Schultz, Matthew Schultz, Randy vanBeekom, Jr. and his fiancee Taylor, Jack vanBeekom, and Andreas, Milo and Tristan Jorgensen. She was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, Norman Audet, in 1996 and her sister Carol Lancaster.

A daughter of Kenneth and Anne (Bennett) Kingsbury, Mrs. Audet was born March 21, 1937 in Newton. She grew up in Brighton, graduating in 1956 from Brighton High School. While working at the Natick Labs, she met her husband; they lived in Westborough and Newport, RI before settling in Southborough. Mrs. Audet moved to Northborough in 1997.

She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crewelwork. After raising her family, Barbara worked for more than 29 years at Bose Corp, retiring in 1997 as a purchasing supervisor. She was a longtime communicant of Saint Anne's Parish in Southborough.

Calling Hours, at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough, are Thursday, July 5, from 9-11AM. Mrs. Audet's Funeral Mass will be Thursday, July 5, at noon in Saint Anne's Church, Southborough. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery, Southborough. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, 10 Judith Road, Worcester, MA 01602.
