Barbara L. (Ziegler) Neuhaus, 89, of Marlborough, died March 18, 2013 at Marlborough Hospital. Her husband Fred Neuhaus died in 1990. She leaves her daughter, Sandy Maddox and her husband Rick of Galion, OH; her son, Mark Neuhaus and his wife Nancy of Marlborough; 5 grandchildren, Ben, Sarah, Tim, Hannah and Sam; her great-grandson Tatum; her sister, Constance Barter of Berlin; her brother, Carl Ziegler and his wife Jacqueline of Hudson 16 nieces & nephews. Barbara was born in Clinton, daughter of George and Jenny (Lindberg) Ziegler and lived in Berlin for 33 years. Mrs. Neuhaus moved to Marlborough in 1956, but still considered Berlin her home town.

Barbara worked as a bookkeeper at Tatman and Park Insurance Agency in Worcester. She retired from the agency in 2011 after a career spanning 65 years. Mrs. Neuhaus was a lifelong member of The First Parish Church of Berlin. She was a member of H. Wallace Woodward American Legion Post #162 Auxiliary and a longtime bookkeeper of E. Guy Sawyer and Sons Auctioneers. Barbara loved baking, catering, square-dancing and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. Barbara enjoyed driving her car on trips of any duration.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in The First Parish Church, 24 Central St., Berlin, MA 01503.
