Beatrice H. Guldner, 104, of Lyman Street, Westborough passed away on February 10, 2016 after a brief illness. Beatrice was a member of the Willows Retirement community since 1997.

Born in New York City, Bee spent her adolescent life with her sister Eleanor at the Lakeside School in Spring Valley, N.Y. Bee later returned to NYC to complete her education and then worked at Bell Telephone Laboratories where she was soon to meet and marry her husband of forty-eight years William G. Guldner.

Bee raised her family at homes in Bernardsville, N.J. and on Candlewood Lake in Danbury, Connecticut.

Following William's passing in 1987 Bee soon discovered great joy and satisfaction when helping Danbury's immigrant community learn the English language. She devoted time to the little ones at a local elementary school and with the elders at the senior center. She corresponded with several of her new friends for several years after her move to Massachusetts in 1997.

Throughout her life Bee took a delight in gardening. She could get nearly anything to grow. In her later years she loved to plant seeds – either those found during her daily "walk-abouts" or those recovered from the kitchen. Many visitors were gifted with avocado and citrus trees.

Bee leaves her son Edward and his wife Diane of Northborough, and daughter Joyce and her husband Eddie Forgione of Mendham N.J. Bee was proud of her legacy of five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Survivors include three nieces and one nephew all of whom live out of state. Bee also leaves her dear caring friend Helen Kentley of the Willows.

The family recognizes and thanks the staff of The Willows and Beaumont for the high quality of life provided over the years. At Bee's request there will be no services.
