Northborough – Corrine (Zellmer) Cashman, 81, died on January 15, 2014. Her husband John Cashman died in 1996. She leaves behind two sons, Kevin Cashman and Rebecca Putnam of Northborough and Dennis Cashman and his wife Susan of Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida; her daughter-in-law, Christine Cashman of Shrewsbury; her grandchildren, Jessica, Anthony, Jesse, Nicole and Alex Cashman; her sister-in-law Anita Cashman of Millbury; nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her son Paul Cashman who died in 2011 and her sister Helen Pelegrino who died in 1996. Corrine was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Sauro) Zellmer. Mrs. Cashman graduated from Commerce High School in 1950. Corrine and John settled in Northborough and raised their family over 50 years ago. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church and volunteered for seven years at Proctor Elementary School. Corrine was truly a loving mother, grandmother and friend who always was concerned with the needs of others. She enjoyed reading, coffee with neighbors and knitting hats & mittens for children.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, 244 West Main St. Northborough. Burial will follow in Howard St. Cemetery.
