ASHLAND, MASSACHUSETTS David "Dave" O'Toole, was born in Terenure, Dublin, Ireland on July 20, 1956 to Bernadette Campbell O'Toole and George O'Toole and 4 siblings: Michael "Mick" O'Toole of Shannon; Noeline O'Toole McCarthy of Dublin; George O'Toole now deceased and Anna O'Toole Greentree of London, England. In July, 1988 he arrived in the US and was married to Annie Gill-O'Toole in December. He was a talented electro-mechanical technician and inventor/ craftsman who began and ended his US career at BOSE in Framingham which was fitting since he had a passion for music as well as designing and building things. David was a loyal friend to all and devoted father to Matt "Mac" and Cara O'Toole. David coached Ashland Youth Soccer for many years and cheered Matt and Cara on at every game. He loved animals (especially dogs), nature and telling stories. He was a kind person of simple taste and enjoyed making people laugh and thinking positive thoughts. In David's honor, on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 1PM EDT, David's family ask that friends and family in the US, Ireland and England all focus on releasing his spirit with joy and celebration. Symbolically, we ask that you release something at this time outdoors (i.e. balloons, fish into water, a bird…) as well as any negative thoughts or feelings. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 USA.
