Obituary

Boylston – David C. Hamilton, 66, passed away December 29, 2015 at UMass Memorial – University Campus in Worcester due to heart complications. He leaves his companion of 20 years/ wife of 9 years, Jacqueline L. (Cierpich) Hamilton; two sons, Timothy Hamilton and his wife Wendi of Auburn; Kevin Hamilton and his wife Stephanie of CA; his sister, Cheryl Olson and her husband Allan of West Boylston; five grandchildren, Marcus Hamilton, Colby Hamilton, Stella Hamilton, Lucia Hamilton and Charlotte Hamilton; a nephew, Eric Olson, his wife Michelle and their two sons, Tyler and Elijah. Born in Clinton, he was the son of the late Roy and Cecilia (Pierce) Hamilton. Dave was a lifelong resident of Boylston. During the 1970s and 80s, he worked for Digital Equipment Corp. in the security field and traveled worldwide for DEC. He later worked in security at Crown Plaza in Worcester. Most recently, Mr. Hamilton was employed as facilities director for the Greendale YMCA in Worcester. Dave was a founding member of the Red Knights Motorcycle Club. He served as first international president and first president of Mass. One. A 28-year member of the Boylston Fire Dept., he retired as lieutenant. Dave was a founding father of Straw Hollow Engine Works and a collector of antique tractors.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 12 to 4 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. Dave's funeral will take place on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will take place privately.
