Northborough - Dorothy M. (Veith) Chartier, 64, passed away on December 4, 2015 in UMass Memorial (University Campus) after a brief illness. She leaves her husband of 43 years, Daniel Chartier, and two sons, Bryan and Brendan Chartier; her brother Charlie and his wife Lisa of Rutland; sisters, Diana of Syracuse, NY and Donna of Westfield. Dorothy was the anchor for both families. Born in Florida to a military family, Dorothy and her family lived at many air force bases spending the latter part of her childhood at Westover Air Force Base in Chicopee. Mrs. Chartier was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Springfield and Katherine Gibbs in Boston. Marrying in 1973, she and Dan lived in Boston and eventually moved to Northborough where the family has resided since 1980. She spent many summers on Cape Cod and had been a member of the West Dennis Yacht Club. A memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 10 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, 244 West Main St. Northborough. There are no calling hours.
