Northborough/Charlton - Evelyn R. (Bombard) Murray, 77, passed away at home on September 11, 2014 after a period of declining health. Born and raised in Worcester, she was the daughter of Edward and Florence (Brooks) Bombard. She leaves two sons, Randall Joubert and his wife Deb of Whitinsville; Darby Joubert and JoAnne of Northborough; two daughters, Stephanie Alves and Frank of Weare, NH; Tobey Brinkmann and her husband Bill of Sterling; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; four brothers, Edward Bombard of Northborough, Donald Bombard of Worcester, Wayne Bombard of Spencer and Kevin Bombard of Worcester; two sisters, Patricia Salvatore of Auburn and Sandra Murphy of Oxford. She is predeceased by a brother, George Bombard. Mrs. Murray attended Commerce High School. Evelyn lived in Northborough for 40 years before moving to Charlton in 1999. While her children where young she worked at local nursing homes as an aid. Later she worked for some businesses in the Northborough Plaza including Tilz and Julio's. When she lived in Northboro she enjoyed snowmobiling and at her home in Charlton you could find her on the jet ski. She was an avid card player her entire life. Evelyn loved to bake and was best known for her cookies. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Sept. 19, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough.
