Worcester Florence H. Stanford, 99, died February 25, 2014 at Beaumont of Northborough. She leaves two sisters, Ruth Boucher of Worcester and Nancy Morse of Shrewsbury, many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Robert and Edward, her sisters Dorothy, Esther, and Jean. Born in Holliston, she was the daughter of Edward and Helen (Pelren) Stanford. She attended Catherine Gibbs School and Columbia University. Years ago, Miss Stanford was employed at the former Commonwealth Press as a proof-reader. Florence worked as Chief Interviewer for Massachusetts Unemployment Office in Worcester for several years until her retirement. She lived most of her adult life in Worcester. Florence was a member of Second Church of Christ, Scientist, Worcester and the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston. Miss Stanford proudly served in the U.S. Navy Waves during WW II.
