Northborough- Gene J. Gates, 79. died on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at home. Gene leaves behind his twin sster, Joan J. Gates, his sister, Thelma Federman of Shrewsbury and Barbara Porter of Venice, FL; many nices and nephews. Gene had a dry sense of humor and was a very kind person. He served in the US Air Force from 1951- 1953. Gene was an active 10-pin bowler and was a bowling champion in Massachusetts.
