Berlin – Hilda A. (Hubbard) Smith, 94, died peacefully on Dec. 8, 2012 at Beaumont of Northborough. She leaves her daughter, Jacqueline Smith Tardif and husband Arthur of Amherst, NH; her granddaughter, Stephanie Collier and husband Robert of Holliston; her grandson, Adam Tardif and wife Alyson of Trumbull, CT; four great-grandchildren.

Hilda was born in Clinton and lived in Berlin and Hudson for many years. She graduated from Hudson High School and Truesdale Hospital School of Nursing in Fall River. Mrs. Smith worked for years at Marlborough Hospital retiring as operating room supervisor. After her retirement, she volunteered for the hospital until the age of 90. She was also a member or the hospital auxillary. Her other affiliations included: Joy Group of Bolton Church, Busy Fingers craft group, and the Broad Squad of Berlin.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, December 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 12:00 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough.
