Paul Matthew Roach Passed away On October 19th. Paul was the youngest of 11 siblings and the son of the late Albert J Roach (1977) and Josephine A Zulkus (1985) who grew up in Northboro. Paul graduated from Algonquin Regional High School, played football, and became a Journeyman Electrician with The Local 96 International Brotherhood of Electrical workers. Paul worked on all projects including the Big Dig, Petroleum installations, Solar, and industrial projects throughout the Northeast. He loved his work and whenever cautioned about High Voltage would remind us that "Electricity is our Friend." Paul had an enduring and unforgettable sense of humor that left memories with everyone he met.
Paul had many friends in the construction trades and childhood friends that will miss him. Paul's family will miss him the most including his many brothers : Albert Roach of Delaware, Vincent Roach of Boylston passed in 2005, Tony Roach of Shirley, passed in 2013, Patrick Roach of Thompson, Ct, Joseph Roach of Shirley, MA, Edward Roach of Leicester, MA, Martin Roach of Fairbanks, AK, . His sisters; Frances Marino, of Milford, Delaware, Catherine Sickles of Jaffrey, NH, and Eileen Butterfield of Worcester, MA.
"Uncle Paul" will be missed by his nephews and nieces , His Godson, Matthew Roach and Melanie Roach, Eileen Steinchen of Rochester, NY, Jolene Fantony of Westboro, Lisa Butterfield of Northboro, Kate Sickles of NH , Abby Sickles of Manchester NH, and Tim Sickles of NH, Martin Roach, Sean Roach, and Peter Roach all of Fairbanks Alaska.
Calling Hours will be at Hays Funeral Home, 56 main St. Northboro on Thursday October 30th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. A graveside service will be held Friday morning October 31st, 11:00 am, at St John's Cemetery, Cambridge Street, Worcester. For online condolences, please visit www.haysfuneralhome.com
