Shrewsbury - Robert A. Troiano, 74, died peacefully at home on June 3, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his devoted wife of 54 years, Drena (Zecco) Troiano; his children, Paula Bourassa and her husband Brian of Buzzards Bay; Roberta Hanneman and her husband Kenneth of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandchildren, Michael D'Ambra, Robert Hanneman, Drena D'Ambra and Amanda Hanneman; three great-grandchildren, Elyssa D'Ambra, Evan D'Ambra and Gage Hanneman; his brother; John Troiano of Shrewsbury; nieces and nephews. Bob was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late Ralph and Madeline (Lapriore) Troiano. He was a resident of Shrewsbury since 1959. Mr. Troiano graduated from North High School in 1956 and from Worcester Jr. College in 1965. He was Vice President of Zecco Inc. in Northborough for 35 years. Bob retired from LaMountain Brothers Inc. in Oxford in 2009, after 17 years of employment. He was a member of the Italian American Victory Club in Shrewsbury. Bob proudly served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam era. Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. His funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 8, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 640 Main St. Shrewsbury. Burial with military honors will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
