Roy A. Davis, 60, died October 18, 2013 at Autumn Village in Worcester, after a period of declining health. He leaves his parents, John R. and Eileen D. (Cook) Davis of Northborough; two brothers, Richard Davis and his wife Kathryn of Northborough, Robert Davis and his wife Maryanne of West Yarmouth; six nephews, Brian, Michael, James and wife Nicole, William and wife Sonja, Jeremy and Jeffrey; 2 great-nieces, Micayla and Lauryn; aunt, uncle and cousins. Roy is predeceased by a brother John who died in 2001. Born in Worcester, he lived most of his life in Northborough. In the 1970s, Mr. Davis served in the Coast Guard stationed at the Cape Cod Canal and in Washington, D.C. with an honor guard. Roy would often be found cooking for family and friends. He loved the Cape where he enjoyed camping and fishing. He easily made new friends wherever he went. Roy volunteered at the Brockton Veterans Administration by assisting fellow veterans. The Davis family extends their thanks to the staff at Autumn Village for their compassion and exceptional care of Roy over the past three months. A private graveside service with military honors will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
