Brookfield/Westboro Sandra J. (Bickford) Janes, 74, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2017 at Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center after a period of declining health. Her husband Gregory "Barry" Janes died in 1993. She leaves behind two sons, Scott Regnier of Marlboro and Eric Gernrich of Worcester; three daughters, Brenda Dunlop of E. Brookfield, Heidi Desilets of Manchester, NH and Amy St. Hilaire of Haverhill; five grandchildren, Kendra, Clinton, Autom, Audra and Sage. Born in Worcester and raised in Westborough, she was the daughter of the late Clinton and Martha (Walden) Bickford. Mrs. Janes lived in Brookfield since 1993 and is formerly of Plaistow, NH. An antique buff, she also frequented area fairs and flea markets. She loved lighthouses, shopping, her dogs and cats, flowers and vegetable gardening. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northboro. A committal service will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westboro.
