Northborough - Angelina Marie (Amorelli) Riga, passed away at home on January 6, 2016, after a short battle with cancer. She was 93. Her husband Andray W. Riga died in 1963. She leaves her children, Frank Atchue and wife Barbara of Southborough; Vera Jordan of Norton, and Jean Jones of VA. She also leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson, nieces & nephews. Mrs. Riga is predeceased by sons, Butch, William and Robert Riga and an infant daughter, Stormy. Born and raised in Boston, she lived in Northborough for the past 30 years. Angelina worked many years as an attending nurse at the former Cushing General Hospital in Framingham. She not only cared for hospital patients, but she also nursed several ailing family members over the years. Her favorite pastimes included vacations and trips to Maine, and dining out with family and friends. Mrs. Riga was known for her good sense of humor. Above all, Angelina cherished spending time with her entire family. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2016, from 1-4 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. Her funeral will follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial is private.
