Obituary

Northborough/Grafton Ann P. (Gladd) LaBaire, 85, passed away on May 19, 2018 in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a brief illness. She leaves her husband of 65 years, Warren B. LaBaire; her children, Paul LaBaire and his wife Beth of Worcester; David LaBaire and his wife Doreen of Dennis; Patricia LaBaire of Kingston, Warren B. LaBaire Jr. of Berwick, Maine and Nancy Pollack and her husband Peter of Shrewsbury; nine grandchildren and two great- grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her son John LaBaire who died in 1987, as well as five sisters and a brother. Mrs. LaBaire was raised in Grafton, daughter of the late Anthony and Helen (Kelley) Gladd. She graduated from St. Stephen's Catholic High School in Worcester, class of 1950. Warren and Ann moved to Sunnyhill Rd. in Northborough in 1956 where they raised their family. Ann worked in the Algonquin Regional High School cafeteria for 22 years. She enjoyed bowling at Sawyer's Bowladrome in Northborough. In 2009, they relocated to Grafton. Her other hobbies included knitting, bocce, and gardening. Ann loved horses and dogs. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. Her funeral will take place on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Ann will be laid to rest in Howard St. Cemetery, Northborough. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Baypath Humane Society, 5 Rafferty Rd. Hopkinton, MA 01748.
