Arthur B. Rice, Jr. passed away on August 17, 2026, after a period of declining health.

He was the beloved husband of Linda (Paine) Rice for 58 years, and a devoted father to Tim Rice and his wife Barbie, Kristen Rice, and Shawn Rice and his wife Beth. He was a treasured grandfather to Anna Rice, Dan Rice, Brandon Davis, Mikayla Davis, and Tyler Murphy. He also leaves his brother-in-law and dear friend, Paul Paquin. He was predeceased by his sisters, Barbara Coleman and Linda Paquin.

Art grew up in Sherborn, the son of the late Arthur B. and Mildred (Marshall) Rice, Sr. He was a graduate of Framingham High School. Much of his working life was spent behind the wheel of a truck delivering for Anheuser-Busch Co., a job he enjoyed for the road, the people, and the daily conversations along the way.

Outside of work, Art continued to find himself behind the wheel- enjoying daily drives to visit with friends old and new. Though he was reserved about his own life, Art was known to be very social and very much the charmer. He was deeply devoted to his family; protective, supportive, and always there for the people he loved.

A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 24, at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home, with procession to Dell Park Cemetery in Natick for burial.
