Barbara L. (Shields) Gore, 69, died Monday, September 19, 2022, at home while surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her devoted husband of 44 years, Jonathan Gore. In addition, she leaves a son, Brenden Gore and his wife Karen, of Sterling, and a daughter Michelle Blomiley and her husband Daniel, of Millbury; a brother James Shields and his wife Rita, of Chatham, sister-in-law Betty Shields, of FL; and 4 grandchildren: Aydan Blomiley, and Hendrix, Harlow, and Hudson Gore. She was predeceased by her brother Thomas Shields.

Born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY, Barbara worked as a cartographer for an aerial mapping company for many years. After moving to Cape Cod in the early 70's, she continued until she changed careers when her children were young. In 2019, she retired after 30 years working as a mail carrier in Grafton. Barbara was very fond of the people on her mail route and grew to be good friends with many of them.

Barbara's Funeral Service will be held at 4PM, Saturday, September 24, in the Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough. Calling Hours will be from 2-4PM, preceding the funeral. Burial will be private. To leave a condolence, please visit www.HaysFuneralHome.com.
