Beverly was predeceased by her parents; her son James McCaffrey; granddaughter Amanda Rose McCaffrey; brother Richard Pierce; and sister Gail (Pierce) Phillips.
Bev grew up in a family of card players and was always eager to sit down to a game of pinochle or pitch, but especially cribbage. She loved the competition and to share a laugh with family and friends. In their later years, she and Joe looked forward to weekly card games at the Northborough Senior Center. Bev also loved the challenge of a crossword puzzle and started a 30 year tradition of gathering with her family on Sunday mornings to do the puzzle as a group. She was also an artist who loved handicrafts - cross-stitch, drawing, painting, and beading were particular favorites. Bev and Joe were also fortunate enough to be able to travel across the US and Canada in their RV, and also spent many summers as seasonal campers in Exeter, NH. Bev had a wonderful circle of friends from far and near whom she considered as extended family.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit with Beverly's family on Tuesday, March 18th from 4-7 PM at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street in Northborough.
