Bruce H. Simpson, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on November 23, 2025, at the age of 81 after a period of declining health.

Born in Cambridge and raised in Lexington, MA, Bruce was one of three children of the late Bailey A. and Marion V. (Whippen) Simpson. After graduating from Lexington High School, he honorably served in the United States Army. Upon returning home, he began his career at the Harvard Trust Co. in Harvard Square.

In 1972, Bruce relocated his family to Northborough when he began working for State Mutual Life Insurance Company, and later at Hanover Insurance, where he managed data and recovery operations.

Bruce took great pride in maintaining and improving his home. He especially cherished time spent with his family and enjoyed keeping up with his grandchildren's many activities.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Ann (Rose) Simpson; his two children, Tracey Fisher and her husband David of West Barnstable, MA, and Patrick B. Simpson, Sr. and his partner Ashley Lenart of Ansonia, CT; and his  grandchildren, Andrew D. Fisher, Michael D. Fisher, Kara A. Simpson,  Patrick B. Simpson, Jr. and Natalie V. Lenart. He also leaves his brother, Peter Simpson, and his wife Judy of Belfast, ME. He was predeceased by his sister, Shirley Peters.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 5, in Howard Street Cemetery, Northborough.
