Northborough - Carolyn (Hazlip) Danforth, 63, formerly of Westborough, died on December 10, 2013 at Ichabod Washburn Hospice Residence in Worcester after a long battle with cancer. She leaves her husband of 37 years, Thomas Danforth; her daughters, Elizabeth Danforth of Westborough and Abby Wolshin of Auburn; three sisters, Cheryl Hazlip, Sylvia Bodiford and Glynda Hazlip; nieces and nephews. Carolyn was raised in Texas, Oklahoma and Ohio. She graduated from the University of Akron in 1976. Mrs Danforth enjoyed gardening, hiking and nature and was an advocate for the homeless. As a member of Trinity Church, she traveled on mission trips to La Romana in the Dominican Republic. Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, December 14th at 10:00 a.m. in Trinity Church, 23 Main St. Northborough. Burial will be private.
