NORTHBOROUGH, MA
LOS ANGELES, CA
Casey Reuter Durkin, a longtime resident of Northborough and Los Angeles, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2020. Whether on stage as a ballerina, professional actor, model, or comedian, her effervescent personality, vulnerability, bravery, and candor captured hearts at her homes on the West and East coasts.
Casey earned her place as your loyal friend, trusted confidant, biggest cheerleader and best audience.
The Algonquin High School alum, member of Saint John's Writers Guild and Art Allstate awardee, exhibited her passion for the arts and media early on. She studied at Pratt Institute, and at Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandizing FIDM in Los Angeles, CA.
Miss Los Angeles always traveled with two wardrobe changes, street wear and up-town. She enjoyed being a stylist for Lil' Kim, etc., and designing performance costumes for Beyonc and many others.
Casey danced & acted in lead roles in music videos with Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Christina Aguilera, Snoop Dog, and The Rolling Stones. She owned the leading role in the movie Free-runner, among others and on the Red Carpet, Casey was Correspondent for MAXIM, and host of 'Your LA' NBC.
A mentor of Casey's in life, and in comedy, is Eric Taylor, owner of the WooHaHa Comedy Club in Worcester. Eric reflected on Casey's approach to comedy, "She just loved it. The comedy community, often the "judgiest" of all communities, put down their guard. She was silly, humble, kind, and supportive. So positive, so optimistic, not a cynical bone in her body."
Casey's life is a rich mosaic of all of the colors of a rainbow. Hers is a legacy of passion, the joy and celebration of art, life, love and always with kindness. Casey served others first, and with a genuine smile, simple grace and good humor.
Casey leaves her mother, Barbara Johnson Durkin, her fathers, Michael L. Durkin and Michael Reuter, her sister Molly Durkin, sister Danielle Reuter, and her beloved uncles, aunts and cousins. She leaves us all wanting more, but as Casey would remind us, this show must - and will - go on.
