On Christmas Eve, December 24, 2023, Christine L. Tyler, aged 77 years, peacefully passed away in Fort Mills, South Carolina. She was the beloved mother to her two children, Sally Boyd and her husband William of Marlborough, Erik Tyler and his wife Taelyn living in Charlotte, NC; doting grandmother to her four grandchildren, Ryan, Jennie, Kylie and Evelyn and sister to Richard Simmons also of Northborough.

Christine was born in Springfield, MA and raised in Northborough, MA, one of two children to Willard and Mildred (Sandor) Simmons. She was a graduate of Algonquin Region High School. Christine began her working career as an administrative assistant at Massachusetts Electric Co. It was here that she met her future husband, James Tyler. It was love at first sight and were married in 1968. The couple started their young family in Northborough and for several years, Christine dedicated her efforts to the raising of their two children. Later in life she would return to work, first as an administrative assistant at Chase Paper Co in Westborough then as an office manager of a local dental practice.

After Jim's retirement they relocated to Green Valley, AZ where they resided between 2006 and 2016. As a couple, Christine and Jim enjoyed travelling. She fondly would recall her most meaningful trips to Yosemite, the Grand Tetons, New Mexico and Southern California. After Jim passed away in 2016, Christine moved to the Carolina Orchards community in Fort Mills, SC. Where she enjoyed socializing and making new friends through the community clubs. Christine looked forward to meeting up with her friends to play cards or work on knitting projects.

Visitation will be held between 4-6PM on Friday, January 12 at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough. Christine's memorial service will be held at 10:30AM in the funeral home on Saturday, January 13. Interment will follow in Howard Street Cemetery.
