BERLIN On Thursday, July 29, 2021, Claire Palmer Gillespie, age 79, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at home, her loving family by her side. She was born in Boston on September 22, 1941, a daughter to the late George and Natale (Cole) Palmer. Claire is survived by her husband of 57 years, David J. Gillespie, a son, Andrew Gillespie and his partner Maria Scibelli of Springfield; a daughter, Karen Johnson and her fianc Robert Poirier of Northborough; her four grandchildren, Alison and Katherine Johnson, Heather Gillespie, Benjamin Gillespie and his wife Kirsten and a great-grandson, Ethan Cole Gillespie. Honoring Claire's wishes, all services and interment are private, for her family.
