Damon Albert Richards, 80, most recently of Northborough, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2018 at Beaumont of Northbridge. He leaves his wife Leslie (Maynor) Richards; his son, Scott Richards and his wife Lisa of Tequesta, FL; his daughter, Janine Colleran and her husband Richard of Northborough; his grandchildren, Nicole Richards, Ryan Colleran, Jenna Colleran and Megan Colleran. Born and raised in West Newton, he was the son of Willard and Joan (Damon) Richards. Damon graduated from Newton High School in 1955. He attended University of Maine – Orono and graduated from Babson College in 1959. His professional career in the food industry began many years ago when Damon went to work for Albert Richards Food Co. in Boston and was also President of the Frozen Food Association of New England. He worked there for 10 years between 1960 and 1970. He later owned and operated CRS Food Marketing in Braintree for 15 years. Damon played baseball and was an avid Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots sports fan. His hobbies and passions included tennis, cars and his pets.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. A private burial will take place at a later date in Winslow Cemetery, Marshfield.
