SOUTH LANCASTER, MASS.
The family of Debbie C. Petcher sadly share her unexpected passing in the early morning hours of Monday, May 25, 2026. She was 72 years old.
Born in Madawaska, Maine, Debbie was the beloved daughter of the late William and Pauline (Roy) Petcher. She spent many years residing in South Lancaster, Massachusetts, before recently relocating to Northborough.
Debbie had a deep love for music and food, and she especially enjoyed singing classic songs from the 1970s, with Fleetwood Mac among her favorites. She was known for her caring and selfless nature, always placing the needs of others before her own. Debbie would gladly give away her last dollar if she believed it could help someone else. Her strong spirit, generous heart, and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves behind her longtime companion, Robert Savage; beloved son, Christopher Petcher and his wife, Ekaterina; her grandson, Alex; her brothers, William Petcher, Michael Petcher, Peter Petcher, and Robert Petcher; her sister, Diane; and her brother-in-law, Rick. Debbie was predeceased by her brother, Charles “Chuck” Petcher.
At this time, no public services are planned. Memorial donations in Debbie’s name and directed to the charity of your own choosing are appreciated. Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.haysfuneralhome.com.
