Obituary

Northborough

The Dubowik family share the sad news of the December 3, 2025, passing of Debra Ann Dubowik. Debra passed away after experiencing an acute medical episode; she was 69 years old.

Debra was the beloved wife of Robert J. Dubowik, her husband of 37 years. They met while working together at Adcole Corporation in Marlborough, where Debra spent many years as a dedicated employee. Together, Debra and Bob shared a life full of love, laughter, and adventure, including many cruises and trips they treasured.

Surviving Debra are her three children, Jeff Brown of Arizona; Megan Torres and her husband Juan of Marlborough; and Zach Dubowik and his wife Angela of Auburn. She was the loving grandmother to Michael Sears and Aidan Dubowik, who brought her endless joy and smiles.

Debra is also survived by her siblings Kevin Brown and his wife Jennifer of Stow; Patricia Coady and her husband Jim of Hudson; Pamela Brown of Hudson; Christopher Brown of Leominster; and Gloria Walker and her husband Keith of North Grosvenordale, Connecticut; along with her step-brother James Staal of Bronx, New York, her step-sisters Julia Myrick of Lakeland, Florida, and Verona Jo Nace of Spencer, Massachusetts, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Edwin J. and Natalie A. Brown, Jr.; her brothers Thomas, Daniel, Robert, and David Brown; and her step-brother Edward Staal.

Debra was born in Marlborough on October 4, 1956, raised in Hudson, and attended Hudson public schools. At a very young age, she had to step into the mother role to care for her eight siblings, for their mother had passed when she was just 15.

Debra was a hard worker, even working part-time for many years taking care of the elderly, out of her love for it, but what she loved most was being with family and friends. Debra loved hosting holidays and summer get-togethers at her home by the pool. She loved to cook, always made way too much food, and made sure no one ever left hungry.

She enjoyed weekend trips with the girls, relaxing with a good book, working the snack bar for Northborough Youth Baseball League games, and spending time vacationing at Old Orchard Beach with family and friends. She had a great sense of humor, was loving to a fault, and always made people feel welcome.

Friends and family are invited to gather to remember and celebrate Debra's life on January 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Marlborough Fish and Game Club, Muddy Brook Lane, Marlborough. A celebration of her life will follow until 6:00 PM.

Debra was surrounded by love and leaves behind a lifetime of memories. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Arrangements have been under the care of Hays Funeral home, 56 Main Street, Northborough. www.HaysFuneralHome.com.
