NORTHBOROUGH
Diane M. Barrile of Northborough, formerly of Marlborough, passed away peacefully in the UMass-Memorial Medical Center's University Campus on Sunday, February 21, 2021; she was 78 years old.
Born and raised in Waltham, Diane was the daughter to the late Alan and Frances (Strapp) Morley. Diane married Richard J. Barrile and together raised their young family in Waltham. In 1971 Diane and Dick relocated their family to Marlborough and at which time they began many years of active volunteering in Marlborough's numerous community events including the Labor Day Festival, the Dukes of Marlborough and participating in various community theatre productions. Diane was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and a former member of St. Anne's Parish of Marlborough.
After retirement, Dick and Diane moved to Ft. Myers, Florida and in 1995 relocated to Northborough to be closer to family. After 36 years of a beautiful marriage, Dick passed away in 1998. Diane continued to reside in Northborough and in 2015 became a member of Rice Memorial Baptist Church.
Of the many activities Diane continued to stay busy with, the job of being a loving Mom and Grandmother meant the most to her. Diane is survived by her three children, Kimberly A. Perron and her husband Ed of Northborough, Maureen B. Peterson and her husband Rich of N. Brookfield and Christopher A. Barrile and his wife Dana of Lunenburg. An infant son, Richard James Barrile, Jr preceded Diane in death.
She also leaves 13 grandchildren and their significant others, Tim & Megan, Nick & Becca, Ben & Savannah, Jon, Ashley & David, Kristina & Chad, Olivia, Brooke & Jim, Hailee, Matt, Melissa, Josh & Missy, and Krista 11 great-grandchildren, Raegan, Owen, Teddy, Aubrielle, Everett, Amelia, Paisley, Madison, Kayla, Andrea and Nathan, all whom she loved dearly; and three grand dogs whom she enjoyed spoiling, Maisy, Piper and Suki.
A calling hour will be held from 10-11am on Monday, March 1, 2021, at the Rice Memorial Baptist Church, 85 Lincoln Street, Northborough. Diane's funeral will follow at 11am. She will then be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery, Marlborough. All current Massachusetts covid19 safety guidelines and social distancing practices will be followed, please plan accordingly.
