Westborough/Northborough – Donald "Don" B. Perry, 88, formerly of Alcott Dr., Northborough died at Beaumont of Westborough after a period of declining health. He leaves his devoted companion of 30 years, Margaret Spano of Westborough; his loving children, Donna Evans of Rehoboth; Dianne Christie of Attleboro; Robert Perry of VT; Richard Perry of Marlboro; Roger Perry of Ayer; Raymond Perry of Bedford; four granddaughters; two grandsons; 2 deceased siblings, John Perry and Mildred LaCombe. He was born in Allston, December 4, 1926, son of the late John and Ethel Perry. Don moved to Southborough in 1932 and graduated from Peters High in 1944. He proudly served his country in the South Pacific during World War II and attained the rank of Sergeant in the U.S. Army. Don was a member of the American Legion in Hudson and Northborough. Mr. Perry worked as a maintenance plumber for 25 years at Data General and previously for other plumbing contractors in the Framingham/Marlborough area for many years. Former employers included: LaPointe Machine Tool Co. of Hudson, The Asbestos Weaving Co. in Gleasondale, RMP in Northborough and Busy Bee Transportation in Ashland. Don was involved in The Boy Scouts of America for many years with Troop 1 at St. Mary's Church in Marlborough and also a member of the Redmen Association, Southbridge. He was a longtime member of St. Rose of Lima Church. Calling hours will be held on December 22nd, 5pm to 8pm in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. The Funeral Mass of Resurrection will be held on December 23rd at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 244 West Main St. Northborough, followed by burial with military honors in Howard St. Cemetery.
