Doris A. (Day) Heath, aged 86 years, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022. She was the beloved wife of 23 years to Gerald " Jerry" E. Heath until his own passing in 2010. Doris was born and raised in Northborough, the youngest of eight children, and was a graduate of Northborough High School. Doris worked as a secretary throughout her career and for most of her life remained a resident of Northborough. In 2010 Doris relocated to the Carlton Gardens in Southborough where she enjoyed spending time with her circle of friends.

Bingo, playing cards and taking rides and day trips with her family were favorite pastimes for Doris. She and Jerry enjoyed listening to country music and attending local jamborees together. A warm and loving family woman, Doris always looked forward to spending time with her beloved children and grandchildren.

Among those surviving Doris are her two daughters, Joan M. Markman of Northborough and Robin L. Uhlman and her husband Michael McDonald of Douglas; three stepchildren Donald Heath of Spencer, Kimberly Nusaey and her husband Alan and their sons Cole and Dale – all who also reside in Spencer, and Wendy Schegel and her husband Eric of N. Brookfield. She also leaves five grandchildren Jeff Bickford, Amber Johnson, Justin Provencal, Ryan Uhlman and Ashlie Uhlman, two great-grandchildren Crystal Linquist and Alexander Uhlman, many nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her father, mother, step-father Ralph Lawrence who raised her as his own child, and her seven siblings.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 14, between the hours of 9am and 11 am, at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough, MA 01532. A graveside committal service will follow at 11:30am in Howard Street Cemetery, Northborough.
