Obituary

DORIS S. LOWE JUNE 30, 1932 - NOVEMBER 18, 2022 Mrs. Doris S. Lowe, 90, of Berlin, MA is in her husband's loving arms again; a widow of only nine days with the passing of William F. Lowe Jr. on November 9, 2022. On the evening of November 18, 2022, fell asleep in life and awoke to Bill's outstretched hands and now has joined him in everlasting light. Daughter of Benjamin H. and Grace L. (Brown) Spaulding, Doris was born sixth out of seven children and is survived by her younger sister, Mrs. Betty Jane Fox of Cape Cod. The two would play atop Powder Hill in Berlin as children and later in life have family gatherings always laughing for hours. Their love is truly bonded forever. Doris was preceded in death by her brother Benjamin Spaulding and four sisters Phyllis, Laura, Grace and Evelyn. Doris enjoyed her time spent with Bill, especially when he retired. They would go for ice cream, sit in the yard watching the Berlin traffic and waving to neighbors. The most fun they had was playing Rummy 500 and when the Red Sox were playing the Yankees! Doris leaves her daughter, Laura Callahan of Berlin and Laura's three children Eric J. Fournier of Sutton, MA, Lynn M. Keating of Worcester, MA and Jacey M. Callahan of El Paso, TX. Gifted the names "Nana", "G.G." and "E" by many grandchildren and great grandchildren along her journey; Doris was always so happy to see and hear from them. She will truly be missed. A time for friends to gather for Doris and Bill's memorial service has been set for 3PM on Thursday, December 8, in the First Parish Church of Berlin, 24 Central Street, Berlin.
