NORTHBOROUGH, MA WESTBOROUGH, MA HOLIDAY, FL Clemmer, Dorothy "Dotty", 82, passed away on February 16, 2021. Dorothy was born on September 25, 1938, during the no name hurricane, to Emile and Margaret (Metcalf) Auger and raised in Northborough, MA where she lived for 45 years, and then to Westborough for 32 years. She later moved down to Florida 5 years ago to be closer to her family. Dorothy will be lovingly missed by her children: Tamara Laurence and Gregory Clemmer, and her ex-husband John Clemmer, grandchildren: Christina (Sean) Lento, Jerome Laurence, Justin (Mary) Laurence, Terese Laurence, Taylor Laurence, great-grandchildren: Julian & Jocelyn Lento and Brandon & Sydney Laurence. Sister-in-law Margie Auger, and nieces and nephew, Dian, Robert and Judy. Sister-in-law Inez Clemmer and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Preceded in death by her brother Robert Auger. Growing up, she enjoyed many social activities, she was on the cheerleading squad, and served as the class vice-president at Northborough High School graduating in 1957. She loved planning events and reunions and always spoke fondly of her school days. Dotty went to the Salter Secretarial School in Worcester and then worked at Honeywell before settling down and raising her family. One of her most memorable events was a 3-month adventure traveling across the USA exploring each state with her family, this started her love for traveling. She regularly spent summer vacations in Hampton Beach, Cape Cod, and Ogunquit. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Church, an avid reader, and was a devoted Red Sox fan. Dotty started working for the Telephone company in 1973 as a receptionist and then worked herself up to senior management, where she later retired after 25 years. Upon retirement, she loved traveling the world especially cruising to various islands. She enjoyed spending time with her family, picnic lunches at the park, and identifying the flowers at the botanical gardens. She appreciated gardening and loved working part-time at Fiske's Garden Center. She loved being active and you could always catch her on her daily walks or swimming during her weekly water aerobics class. In the evening she would settle down to enjoy a bowl of ice cream and a great Hallmark movie. Due to current restrictions of the covid19 pandemic, Dorothy's services were private, for her family.
