Worcester – Edward F. Arsenault, 89, passed away early Wednesday morning. His wife Emma (Flemming) Arsenault died in 2012. He leaves behind four children, Suzanne of Cape Cod; Cheryl of Central MA; Renee of Wyoming, and Joseph of Florida; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will greatly miss him. He is also survived by a stepchild, step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Ed was born and raised in Milford, son of Francis and Cecile (Taylor) Arsenault and lived in Worcester for the past 43 years. Mr. Arsenault worked many years for Neles Jamesbury, now Metso USA Inc. as a lathe operator until his retirement. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during the WW II era. Ed enjoyed his birds, nature, flyfishing, and woodworking. As a woodworker, he made many gifts from his shop at home.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. in Howard Street Cemetery (1st gate - Dogwood Ave.) All are asked to meet directly at the cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Rev. Mark Nilson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Salem Covenant Church, 215 Mountain St. E. Worcester, MA 01606.
