Elaine Marie
Crowley
June 7, 1944 – February 5, 2026
SHREWSBURY
Elaine Keegan Crowley of Shrewsbury, formerly of Northborough, peacefully passed away on February 5, 2026, in her home, after a period of declining health, comforted by the supportive love of her family. She was 81 years old.
Elaine was born in Boston to the late Daniel D. and Lois E. (Vernon) Keegan and was raised in Canton. She was a graduate of Canton High School, Class of 1962 and still connected with her "lunch bunch" crew. Elaine worked at several corporate jobs till she later found her true calling as a special education aide in the Shrewsbury Public School system, a role she deeply enjoyed until her retirement in 2009.
Family meant everything to Elaine. Her children were the love of her life, and her grandchildren were her greatest joy. She is survived by her three children, Paul D. Crowley, Beth M. Stirk, and Shelley L. Scesny; her seven grandchildren, Blaze, Tara, Ryan, Braden, Daniel, Keegan, and Hannigan; her sisters, Donna Ouzounian and her husband Greg, and Danette Keegan; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Elaine enjoyed many interests which included bowling at Sawyer's Bowladrome with the Grater Marlborough Program, teaching people how to sew, making dolls and could often be found knitting thoughtful gifts for family and friends. Elaine's greatest gift was that she had a deep appreciation for life and the world around her.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 10, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11, at Saint Rose of Lima Parish, 244 West Main Street, Northborough. Interment will follow at Howard Street Cemetery in Northborough.
