Boylston - Estelle A. Vanslette, 89, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her devoted husband of 69 years, Robert A. Vanslette; her loving children, Ellen and John "Jake" Milano, Linda Gravell and Ken Roberts, Steven Vanslette, David Vanslette and Lou Ann Marazzo, Paul and Terry Vanslette. Her grandchildren, Michael Milano and Andrea Mellen, Joanne and Paul Beardsley, Jason Gravell, Jeremy Gravell, Tessondra Vanslette, Steven Alexander Vanslette, Aja Chambers, Meghan Bozard, Annie Vanslette, Andrew, Kevin, Lucas and Tina Vanslette; a niece (Donna Henry) and a nephew (Albert "Skip" Carrao), and eight great-grandchildren. Born and raised in Central Falls, RI, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Alma (Mercier) Lacroix. Estelle and Robert lived much of their married life in Medfield, MA and are formerly of Hudson, MA and Venice, FL. Estelle loved sports, especially the Red Sox, and watched every game each year as a devoted fan. She was also an outstanding bowler, an avid golfer, and an all-around athlete. She was known by her family as a fiercely competitive cribbage and bridge player. Estelle loved watching movies, especially John Wayne movies. She was dedicated to her family and to her Catholic faith. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 4 - 6 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. The funeral Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday, November 7th at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary of The Hills Parish, 630 Cross St. Boylston, MA.
