Obituary

NORTHBOROUGH Evelyn D. Berg, a longtime resident of Northborough, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 6, 2022; she was 101 years old. She was the wife of 56 years to John A. Berg until his own passing in 2002. Born in Worcester, Evelyn was one of 5 children to Carl E. and Agnes E. (Ackerman) Nordwell. She spent her younger years in the Worcester and Shrewsbury area before relocating to Northborough in 1950. Evelyn worked for numerous years at the Arduini Mfg. Co and then Consolidated Fabrication, Inc. After her retirement she returned to work as a secretary at the optometrist office of Dr. Richard Martino. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury and enjoyed summering at the family cottage on Cape Cod. Evelyn enjoyed the time spent sewing and knitting, tending to her vegetable garden, listening to music. She was fond of cardinals and watching the sky for interesting clouds to float by. Surviving Evelyn are all those who were lucky enough to have shared her life with her; friends, family, and her caregivers. Evelyn was preceded in death by her four siblings, Hebert, Clifford, Russell, and Kenneth.
