BERLIN / NORTHBOROUGH Francis "Fran" C. Ryan, long time resident of Northborough and recently of Berlin, ended his long and ever valiant battle with cancer on April 12, 2017; he was 66 years old. Fran was born in Westborough, MA on October 1, 1950, son to the late Helen Dianna (Naples) DeSiata. He leaves behind his son, Dalton A. Ryan of Shrewsbury; a sister, June (Ryan) Dinan and her husband Philip of Keswick, CANADA and a brother, Joseph DeSiata and his wife Priscilla of Northborough, MA. Fran also leaves behind his nieces Tricia Meyer and husband Darren, Krista Dinan and Darlene Wagner and her husband Michael as well as 3 great-nieces, Megan, Katelyn, and Avery. In addition he leaves his fianc Mary O'Brien. Fran was an avid football fan and devoted follower of the Patriots. He looked forward to quiet times while fishing, spending time at Indian Head, and traveling to Kentucky to visit with family and friends. He has a passion for cooking and enjoyed working as a chef for many years at local restaurants. After retirement he drove for Van Pool Transportation. All services for Fran are private.
