Obituary

Worcester / Northborough

George Bullis, 82, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026. Born on August 14, 1943 in Watertown, NY, George lived a life centered on family, hard work, and the simple joys of spending time with those he loved.

George shared more than 61 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Maureen (Wile) Bullis, whom he married on November 14, 1964. Together they built a loving family that remained the center of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Maureen; his daughters, Kathleen (Tim) Senecal of Barre, MA, Patricia (Bob) Knox of Northborough, MA and Pamela (Dan) Tortora of Barre, MA; his brother, Gene Bullis and his wife Linda; nine cherished grandchildren; five beloved great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

George was predeceased by his son, Paul Bullis; his brother Thomas Bullis; and his grandchildren Allison Tortora and Matthew Bullis.

George spent most of his career at Baystate Abrasives in Westborough before later working for the Narragansett Regional School District. He was known for his strong work ethic, dedication and the friendships he made throughout his career.

Outside of work , George found joy in cooking for family and friends, cheering on his favorite Boston sports teams, and spending countless happy days with his family at Queen Lake. Above all, he treasured every moment with his grandchildren. Whether gathered around the dinner table, relaxing at the lake, or watching a game together, George’s greatest happiness came from being surrounded by the people he loved.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Christopher House of Worcester and the JHC Hospice for the exceptional care, kindness, and support they provided to George and his loved ones during his final days.

George’s legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered for his devotion, generosity, quiet strength, and the countless memories he leaves behind in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
