Glenn Anderson Matthew, 62, of Worcester, Massachusetts, passed away on November 18, 2025, after a valiant battle with cancer.

He is survived by his three children, to whom he was a devoted father: Derek Matthew and his wife, Tashena; Anthony Matthew; and Angelene "Dolly" Matthew. He also leaves behind two cherished grandchildren, Matthias and Mason. Glenn is additionally survived by his beloved mother, Mary Ellen Matthew; his brothers Paul Matthew and his partner, Robin Smith; Gregg Matthew and his wife, Carolyn; and Todd Matthew and his wife, Carol; as well as his brother-in-law, Rico Sanchez. He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Matthew, and his brother, Mark Matthew.

Born on July 28, 1963, Glenn spent his childhood in Berlin, Massachusetts, a place he held close to his heart throughout his life. Deeply loyal to his hometown and the people within it, Glenn built his career as a self-employed painting contractor. He became widely known in Berlin and nearby communities for his exceptional skill in high-end interior and exterior painting. He took great pride in his craftsmanship, pouring his full effort into every project.

From a young age, Glenn treasured summer vacations in Newport, Rhode Island. He especially enjoyed digging quahogs and walking the Cliff Walk and swimming at Second Beach. Glenn embraced life with enthusiasm and positivity, meeting challenges with strength and a light heart. His witty humor and contagious laugh could easily bring a smile to anyone. Glenn also found joy in the kitchen, where he loved cooking and sharing memorable dishes such as vegetable stir-fries, chicken broccoli Alfredo, and clam chowder.

Friends are invited to a time of visitation with Glenn's family on Thursday, December 4, between 3pm and 6pm, at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough, MA 01532. Burial will take place privately.
