Northborough- Helen C. (Bannon) McHale, 93, passed away peacefully March 22, 2015 at Rose Monahan Hospice in Worcester, surrounded by her loving family. Her husband of 58 years, Thomas W. McHale died in 2009. She leaves behind her two sons, Ret. Colonel USAF Robert S. McHale and wife Trudy of Holland Patent, NY and Brian T. McHale and wife Geri of Medway; her daughter, Barbara E. Corley and husband Richard of Bolton; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law John Moffitt of Northborough; three nieces. She is predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Moffitt. Born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of William and Mary (Grant) Bannon. Helen lived in W. Roxbury for 37 years before moving to Northborough in 2006. She was a member of St. Bernadette Parish and enjoyed bowling and crossword puzzles. Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 5-8 pm in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough. The funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 27, 2015 at 10 a.m. in St. Bernadette Church, 266 Main St. Northborough, MA 01532.
