NORTHBOROUGH, MA

Jacqueline C. Phelps, age 69 years, passed away peacefully on the evening of July 14, 2025, surrounded by family. Jackie, as she was affectionately known, is survived by her husband of 41 years, Allyn M. Phelps, Jr.; four children, Allyn Phelps, III and wife Valeria Schmidt of Providence, RI, Jonathan Phelps of Manchester, NH, Corey Phelps and wife Kristie Gagnon of Northborough, Jennifer Krieger and husband Richard of Charlton, MA; three grandchildren whom she adored Haleigh Mack and wife Maryanne of Granby, MA, Kamila Gagnon and Peter Phelps – both who reside in Northborough. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents James and June (Fiske) Perry, and her brother, James.

Jackie was born in Washington, D.C. At the age of five her family relocated to Holliston, MA where she spent her younger years. After graduating from Holliston High School – class of 1973, Jackie studied Respiratory Therapy at Holliston Junior College. Upon receiving her license, Jackie worked as a respiratory therapist and pulmonary technician at Waltham Hospital for 27 years until it closed. She later continued her work with St. Elizabeth Medical Center and Mt. Auburn Hospital where she worked up until the end.

Family meant the world to Jackie. She was the one who brought everybody together—always finding a reason, always making it happen, no matter what. She enjoyed decorating her home, shopping at local craft fairs, and always looking for her next car. Jackie looked forward to catching up over lunch and sharing laughs with her many friends and caring for her cats, Elliot and Hazel. No matter who you were, Jackie would always lend a hand.

Jackie's family would like to thank the caregivers at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Dana Farber, Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital and UMass Memorial.

Visitation will be held between 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough. Jackie's funeral will take place in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 25.
