Janet E. Kronoff, 74, of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2024, surrounded by her family. The daughter of Frank G. and Claire E. (Doane) Kronoff of Northborough, Massachusetts, Janet was born in Worcester on March 10, 1950. She grew up in Northborough and graduated from Algonquin Regional High School. She was a loving and devoted mom, daughter, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and a dear friend.
Janet is survived by her children, Karen Bartolomei and her husband, Robert Hunt, Christine Hamilton, James Hamilton and his wife, Sophia Reichenbach, Amy Shanahan and her husband, Travis, Deana Glanton and her husband Kenneth, and Lisa Trifone; her grandchildren, Holly, Noelle, Abigail and Joseph Johnson, Jack and Gracie Hamilton, Chloe, Ethan, Jackson and Isaac Shanahan, Elijah, Brycen and Jace Glanton, Jonathan, Adam and Emily Trifone; her great grandson, Liam Mitchell; her Aunt Shirley (Doane) Hodgkins; cousins David and Steven Hodgkins and her closest friends, Wanda and Wayne Cooke, Thomas (Fred) McDonald and his wife Barbara, Stephen and Jean Hendrix, and Mary Ann Ingle. Janet is predeceased by her parents, Frank Kronoff in 2014 and Claire Kronoff in 1992, her sisters, Diane Kronoff in 2001, and Marcia Hendrix in 1987, and her uncle, Charles Hodgkins in 2011.
A private funeral service and burial at Howard Street Cemetery in Northborough, as well as a celebration of Janet's life, will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, and because of Janet's love of animals, that donations may be made in Janet's honor to one of her favorite animal rescues: WoodstockSanctuary.org , TrueandFaithfulPetRescueMission.org or FlyingFur.org .
